On August the 15th, 2010, The Au Co Art Center saw the Tour Guide 2010 National Final Contest. It's the contest's honour to welcome the presence of leaders from the Vietnam National Administration of Tourism (VNAT), representatives from Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism (MOCST), provincial Departments of Culture, Sports and Tourism, and press agencies.
15 selected contestants in the final round are from Ha Noi, Da Nang, Ho Chi Minh City, Can Tho and Quang Ninh. In the final round, contestants had to showcase their skills including: interpreting through video tape; aptitudes showing; presenting in foreign languages and answering to questions of examiners. After more than six hours of tense and thorny competition, the board of examiners decided the best contestants to give awards as follows:
1 first prize: belongs to Huynh Cong Hieu, from the Saigontourist Travel Service Company.
2 runners-up: belong to Nguyen Quynh, from the Saigontourist Travel Service Company and Nguyen Hong Nguyen from Hanoitourist Travel Company.
2 third prize: belong to Tan My Hanh, from Vitours Joint Stock Travel Company and Nguyen Van Dung, from Kim Lien International Travel Company
In addition, the board of examiners also decided to award 10 consolation prize and four other prizes: the best presentation through video tape, the best eloquent presentation, the best answer to examiners' questions and the best talent showcase.
